We work with non-profits to help them use and understand Civi. It's such an important tool for these organisations and it's great to see people using it in different and interesting ways. Using and working with Civi is made so much more fun and useful by the enthusiastic and talented community surrounding it.

We needed a CRM, found CiviCRM and fell in love with it :). We're starting with 4.3, we hope we can be of some help for future updates.

Being part of the CiviCRM community is really something to shout about! Not only is CiviCRM an amazing software package, its designed for organisations that make a difference in the world. We help non-profits across the UK gain control of their data through the power of CiviCRM.

It is without a doubt the best piece of software I've ever worked with, and I'm constantly discovering cool new features. More recently I've been working on CiviMobile as part of a project for my course at University. I'm really looking forward to seeing this being used by organisations across the globe.

We recommend and use CiviCRM with most of our clients, and have since 2005. It's got a fantastic collection of functionality that fits the needs of non-profit organization communications, and the CiviCRM community of developers and users is growing, broad, vibrant and responsive.

The best part? When I describe to potential new converts how all of their constituent relations (donations, membership, mass emails, etc.) can be managed with a single integrated, configurable tool, I can hear an incredible yearning at the other end of the phone.

CiviCRM allows us to bring all benefits and capabilities of a large commercial CRM and
donor management system to medium and large non-profits at a fraction of the cost. CiviCRM also allows smaller non-profits to benefit from an integrated solution for donor management, events, bulk email, etc. substantially increasing their effectiveness as compared to managing a variety of nonintegrated software and spreadsheets. Thanks to a strong CiviCRM community, CiviCRM’s functionality continues to advance and CiviCRM’s market continues to grow rapidly.

We are going to use it as central database to arrange many other sources in an only point and to use for several purposes as Press database, etc.

CiviCRM is a powerful tool that could be really useful for many non-profits in Mexico.
Unfortunately the community is very small in my country. I hope that in the next years the community expands around Latin America.

CiviCRM is very helpful for us to manage memberships and donations. As one of the biggest users in France, we would like to help building an active French-speaking community.

I've always been passionate about what non-profits and advocacy groups can achieve using technology. For me, CiviCRM shows an essential example of how non-profit and technology worlds can come together to provide real change - working as community, creating value for yourself, but also for others in non-profit sector.

Recurring Events – it’s time to ‘Make It Happen’

Submitted by LindseyM on October 13, 2012 - 10:07

Training courses, youth groups, sports classes, drama clubs… events like this form the bedrock of many non-profit organisations. As CiviCRM can’t yet handle such complex ‘recurring’ events, a new Make It Happen campaign aims to change that.

Recurring events and attendance reporting as core Civi functions?

Submitted by LindseyM on October 17, 2011 - 12:22

I’m based with a group of three churches in Bristol, UK and we transitioned to Civi in June 2011, integrating it with our new Drupal 7 website. We’re loving Civi’s functionality and the customization it allows, but there is one thing on my wishlist which may be on yours too – the ability to deal easily with recurring events, including reporting on attendance.
