City Bible Forum is an Australian not-for-profit Christian organisation. We need to communicate effectively with our constituents, and CiviCRM gives us a comprehensive set of tools for managing relationships. Interestingly, we often find that new features are being added just as our need for those features is becoming apparent. It's the right fit for us.

The community around CiviCRM is both welcoming and vibrant. CiviCRM as a software solution is a powerful and flexible data management solution for a vast array of nonprofit organizations ranging from the startup NGO to the established multi-million dollar foundation. In our daily work we are seeing more and more NPOs moving away from proprietary systems and single vendor SaaS solutions and embracing the open source community around CiviCRM. Organizations using CiviCRM love the extensibility and the freedoms that come with open source, freedom to choose hosting, freedom to choose project partners, and the freedom to re-use, re-purpose and re-deploy without paying extra.

From fundraising websites which really connect you with your donors to essential tools for care organisations to manage their data, Civi has allowed us to do some amazing things for our clients. It's such a flexible platform and has such a great community which we're proud to be a part of.

Being part of the CiviCRM community is really something to shout about! Not only is CiviCRM an amazing software package, its designed for organisations that make a difference in the world. We help non-profits across the UK gain control of their data through the power of CiviCRM.

It is without a doubt the best piece of software I've ever worked with, and I'm constantly discovering cool new features. More recently I've been working on CiviMobile as part of a project for my course at University. I'm really looking forward to seeing this being used by organisations across the globe.

CiviCRM allows us to bring all benefits and capabilities of a large commercial CRM and
donor management system to medium and large non-profits at a fraction of the cost. CiviCRM also allows smaller non-profits to benefit from an integrated solution for donor management, events, bulk email, etc. substantially increasing their effectiveness as compared to managing a variety of nonintegrated software and spreadsheets. Thanks to a strong CiviCRM community, CiviCRM’s functionality continues to advance and CiviCRM’s market continues to grow rapidly.

I've been working with CiviCRM since 2006 or thereabouts. The community is outstanding in providing support and sharing expertise, which combines with a strong product to enable me in turn to deliver better results for the organisations that I work with. I only hope that over time I will be able to repay the debt by supporting other newcomers to CiviCRM.

We work with non-profits to help them use and understand Civi. It's such an important tool for these organisations and it's great to see people using it in different and interesting ways. Using and working with Civi is made so much more fun and useful by the enthusiastic and talented community surrounding it.

Association for Contextual Behavioral Science

How CiviCRM/Drupal has impacted our organization
Association for Contextual Behavioral Science

See map: Google Maps
Features Deployed:
  • Association Member Management
  • Constituent Contact Management
  • Contributions
  • Donor Management
  • e-Communications
  • Events

Founded in 2005 (incorporated in 2006), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) is dedicated to the advancement of functional contextual cognitive and behavioral science and practice so as to alleviate human suffering and advance human well being. CiviCRM has helped ACBS to:

quickly e-mail members about upcoming events which saves their staff 4 hours/week
remove access to Drupal site when membership expires which resulted in $3000 increase in revenue
generate auto e-mail renewals when membership expires which saved staff 5 hours/week
use a custom one-step membership process which saved staff 2 hours/week and increased revenue by $2000
The Promise:

Upgrade from Drupal 5.1/CiviCRM 2.0.7, increase performance, and extending Drupal/CiviCRM to implement organization's business goals,

The Challenge:

Technically it was upgrading Drupal and the 185 modules ACBS with hackish php that was embedded in views and blocks; from a project management perspective it was overcoming frustration from being an early adopter of Drupal/CiviCRM and getting past initial implementation issues to finally be able to extend Drupal/CiviCRM

The CiviCRM Solution:

Ability to manage membership and its integration with Drupal

Project Team:

ACBS: Emily Rodrigues (ED), Jen Plumb, John Dehlin Dharmatech staff No third parties
