Configuring, Customizing and Extending CiviCRM - San Francisco (before DrupalCon SF)

This hands-on 1-day training session is targeted at administrators, integrators and developers who want to learn more about configuring, customizing, and extending CiviCRM to meet their organization / client needs. This training is scheduled immediately before DrupalCon San Francisco - so plan on coming early.

 

Agenda

The agenda will be finalized based on your interests. Topics include:

  • Configuring CiviCRM - site preferences, dedupe rules, mapping, reCAPTCHA, payment processors, localisation
  • Advanced features - price sets for events, message templates, batch update via profile, checksum authentication, command-line scripts...
  • Customizing CiviCRM - custom data, custom templates, intro to hooks
  • Integrating CiviCRM with Drupal and Joomla, including user/contact synchronization, Profiles, Organic Groups, Views2, Joomla extensions
  • How CiviCRM works - code layout and architecture
  • Extending CiviCRM - hooks and api's
  • Debugging - tips and tricks

Participants should be prepared to bring their own wifi capable laptop.

There will be a $300 charge for this event. If your organization can't cover this cost - send email to lobo @ civicrm dot org to discuss options for bartering services. Limited discounts of up to 50% are available in exchange for services. You must submit your request prior to March 1 to be considered.
