First CiviCRM Scotland meet up - a great start

Scotland joined the civiCRM community in great style at their first meet-up organised by Graham Clarkson of Queensferry Rotary Club and Marcus Wilson of Pooka in the beautiful centre of Edinburgh on Monday 4th December.

A good mix of end users, potential users, implementors and developers got together in MacMillan Cancer Support’s offices to learn more about the community and see a demonstration of how the Rotary Club use CiviCRM to help them successfully manage their hugely popular charity abseil.

Seeing a way forward for visually impaired users

Having made amazing strides over the last year in terms of the user interface, some of the folk attending this years UK CiviSprint took a look at what improvements could be made in terms of accessibility.   Issues have been raised in recent years by screen reader users and people who are not comfortable using a mouse or trackpad.  After testing the new bootstrap-based Shoreditch theme, with a variety of assistive technology, several issues were identified and put to the team of developers.
