CiviCRM has a great feature that allows it to check email boxes and add new contacts and activities based on the emails in that box. Gmail has an awesome system of tags and filters. Emails in Gmail can be very tagged and sorted using a vast number of criteria. Together, Gmail can filter and sort large volumes of email with excellent accuracy, then CiviCRM can import the relevant, and only the relevant emails into the contact records.

Now that CiviCon 2015 is over, it is a good time to reflect on the people we met and the great new things we learned. I attended the CiviCon conference as well as two full days of training prior to the event. Joining me in Denver were designer Kurt Thomas and front-end developer (and former organizer) Phillip Kent Knight from the Los Angeles LGBT Center, a Black Brick Software client organization.

First blog post here. I am hoping to at least shed some light on an issue I had when setting up CivicCRM. Its not a comprehensive solution to the problem; I hope to follow up soon with full source code.

Drip campaigns are a series of contacts triggered by certain event. There are many reasons to this. It is an effective way to keep in contact with a supporter over a period of time.
