NADOI had outgrown its website, and opted for Tadpole’s WordPress+CiviCRM LaunchPad: a professional-looking, pre-designed WordPress Theme with a basic implementation of CiviCRM. Originally set up to manage contacts, donations, event registration, and email newsletters, NADOI now uses CiviCRM to manage membership and to offer its members a way to promote their own books, merchandise and media on the NADOI website.

Functionality

NADOI uses CiviCRM primarily to interact with its membership, a national network of dog obedience instructors. CiviEvent is used to register participants for the Annual Gathering; CiviMail for member communications. NADOI uses PayPal as a payment gateway to accept donations, member dues and event registration fees. They are now working with Tadpole to explore how to best extend CiviCRM so that their members can report and track CLE credits required for NADOI certification.

 

Background

NADOI’s original website needed a refresh, and their old membership database had become cumbersome to maintain. Moving to WordPress+CiviCRM gave them a mobile-friendly and easy-to-use platform for publishing their content, and also provided them with an opportunity to rethink the way they collect, organize, and manage their member data.

 

Challenges

The data to be imported needed a lot of massaging and clean-up. Tadpole worked closely with the client over many weeks to ensure the integrity of the data.

 

Why did this project use CiviCRM?

CiviCRM provided NADOI with a robust set of features that they were able to implement quickly. Now, after a year of working with CiviCRM, NADOI continues to roll out new features, relying on Tadpole’s CiviCRM Help Desk services to provide them with guidance and custom coding, when needed.
