Centralized donor management for a university in Argentina

Our university provides undergraduate education and post-graduate education. Nowdays has approximately 2000 students. The objective of implementing CiviCRM was to have a system to centralize information regarding contributions that are received in different areas of the University. The main goal was all the information available in a fast way and in only one place. We have it in the intranet.

"We replaced all Excel and Access by CiviCRM . We could centralize information . Our donors can acces at the University Page and contribute through it. We collect this data and do the interface to create the contribution in the Civi. Also we connect CiviCRM with our ERP to interface the bill and the payment with our General Ledger."

Why did this project use CiviCRM?
Because it is open source, we didn´t want buy licenses for software. We evaluated another licensed software but all software offered similar functionality.
