Another bright and breezy day in Edinburgh for our 3rd meet up; a brilliant afternoon programme and we were a good mix of non-users, users and our expert developer Marcus.
Marcus gave us an overview of CiviCRM and demonstrated its powerful capabilities immediately available - ‘out of the box’.  Marcus took us through each of the dashboard tabs and explained step by step how to build a meaningful system and customise it to our own preferences.  He also took us through the various extensions, or plugins, available with which users can use to further customise and enhance their systems. Read full article...

Just because your nonprofit's email communications are interesting to you (the person who most likely created them!) doesn't mean they will be interesting to your community. Is your call to action clear? Is your imagery inspiring and connected to your content?

Remove the guesswork from your email marketing strategy by using CiviCRM's A/B email testing feature. Read full article...

Your nonprofit doesn't have just one fundraising strategy. You have many. Think events, donor letters and appeals, e-newsletter blasts, planned giving, and capital campaigns. Each of these strategies typically targets a specific segment of your community, even if the funds raised impact the same budget line. Read full article...

We all give to causes because we care, but we may care more about the person who's asking us than the cause our money is going to. That's completely fine and completely normal. Nowadays nearly one-third of all online donations come from peer-to-peer campaigns, which are especially effective for Millenials and Gen X. Read full article...

There will be a whopping five tracks this year, targeted for existing CiviCRM users as well as nonprofit professionals interested in exploring Civi. There will be more nuts and bolts sessions, as well as some longer sessions that will take a start-to-finish deep dive into a nonprofit’s workflow and how Civi can help.

CIVICRM EVENTS

CiviCRM events bring together a community of end users, administrators and developers of CiviCRM for content-rich discussions, lectures, networking and training.

Sept 25-29, 2018

The CiviCRM Core Team is pleased to announce what we hope will become an annual event; a combined governance summit and code sprint. This year’s event will begin on September 25th, immediately following CiviCamp Hartford, and will be located in West Milford, New Jersey (within an hour from major airports).

Oct 5, 2018

Come meet others from the UK who are interested in, using or learning more about CiviCRM. This one day conference will be of interest to:

  • Those who are thinking about using CiviCRM within their organisation and want to find out more;
  • New and existing users of CiviCRM who want to understand their CiviCRM more and hear about the latest developments.

If you have questions, there will be a number of UK and International CiviCRM experts in attendance who can help. You will also be able to talk to staff from other organisations who already use CiviCRM, and make connections that will help you in the future.

Oct 6-12, 2018

We will have a CiviCRM sprint from 6th to 12th October 2018 in Bamford, Derbyshire. The idea is to have as many community members present as possible so we can make good progress on writing code, improving the books and having a good time! Food and drinks are provided. We do expect you to pay for your own travel expenses. If this a problem for you please contact us.

Sprints are friendly and welcoming events that provide an opportunity for you to get to know the rest of the CiviCRM community and contribute back to the project at the same time. They are ideal for working on your pet project, learning about the latest developments in CiviCRM and building up your CiviCRM network.
