Get behind CiviCRM 4.7

Over the past few months we've been releasing a steady stream of alphas and betas in the 4.7 branch. Next week, we'll see the first of many stable releases and we need your help to ensure they live up to their name. Please download and test our latest release and report any issues to our queue. And for those that can code, we invite you to browse the issue queue, and fix the stuff that matters to you.

Promote CiviCRM at the NTC 2016

CiviCRM partners are sponsoring a CiviCRM stand at NTEN 2016 'the sector’s signature technology event'. Peter Petrik (Skvare) is leading our participation so get in contact if you'll be there and want to help out with CiviCRM events that we'll be putting on. Plus, if you are a partner that would like to represent CiviCRM at the stand, get in contact with Peter (peter@skvare.com).

Kittens and the importance of test coverage

Do you like kittens? Ever wondered why test coverage is so important? Please excuse the non sequitur but if you answered yes to either of these questions, then you should check out this blog from Eileen McNaughton - you won't regret it!

CiviCon Colorado 2016

Meet Angela Bruns, who is co-ordinating CiviCon Colorado in late May and early June this year. Our conference has always relied on volunteers to make it a success and this year is no different. Check out Angela's blog post for more information and contact Angela if you'd like to get involved in the conference.

Sprint for Drupal 8, Backdrop and Wordpress - Jan 30 to Feb 4

Come join the core team and contributors for the CMS-Integration Sprint in Vail, Colorado. Thanks to Nicolas Ganivet (CiviDesk) for generously sponsoring the sprint venue. As Nicolas and Coleman say, 'there's always room for one more!'. Please get in contact with them to check on accommodation availability, and don't forget that if the travel costs are prohibitive, you can always participate remotely.

CiviDay 2016 - want to host a meet up?

CiviDay 2016, 24th February, is shaping up to be our biggest ever, but we're still on the look out for a couple more meet ups (both real world, and virtual). If there isn't an event near you, why not set one up? In particular, we'd love to have our first meet up in Africa this year. Have a look at the list of meet ups so far and contact Michael (michael@civicrm.org) if you want to help out.
