I find the engagement with our community of users to be intellectually stimulating
and rewarding. Seeing folks with expertise in a particular area step up and contribute their time and ideas to help improve the product is quite exciting. Every time I hear about a new interesting organization starting to use CiviCRM, I get a renewed sense of excitement about our work. The range of civic sector organizations currently using the software is quite amazing to me - from large international advocacy organizations to local performing arts troupes. I also really enjoy interacting with our international community - building friendships and getting to share culture (food, music, humor ....) with colleagues on every continent.
Online and offline membership sign-up and renewal, donations and event registration, integrated with our Drupal website. Directory for members, group and bulk emails, renewal reminder emails. Exciting to have complex conference registration within our CRM. Impressed with the Civi community and ongoing development of new features and improvements.
CiviCRM is an solid and feature-rich web based CRM that supports an organization's or non-profit's ability to service its members. In a recent implementation our client is using CiviCRM as an association management tool for memberships and event registrations. Associations are a HUGE area for growth in the CiviCRM market. The ability for an organization to own and control their own data via an open source platform is a liberating experience. Coupled with Drupal and/or Wordpress makes CiviCRM and ideal combination for ANY non-profit or association.
When implementing CiviCRM in our organisation, we got for the first time a complete overview of all our contacts, mailing lists, partners, members in one tool. You do not need to be a database genius to use it on a daily basis, and my colleagues have embraced the tool due to the easy and user-friendly interface. It meets all our needs as a contact management system and as a mail manager. I am sure that we will start using more of its components in the future.
The functionality and design of CiviCRM help us to integrate "relationship management" features into other platforms (like Drupal). Many of our sites are driven by relationship, community and connection, not merely by content.
Freeform Solutions uses CiviCRM to help the non-profit organizations we develop sites for to manage information about their members, volunteers, activists, donors, employees and other contacts, and to handle donations, correspondence, mailings and more. We support the CiviCRM community by contributing documentation, patches, modules and code, and are a silver sponsor of CiviCon 2013.
As non-profit consultants working for non-profit organizations, we found CiviCRM to be particularly well suited to answer the common needs of activist associations, charities and other medium-sized groups. Based in Montréal, we've helped local and international organizations migrate to CiviCRM to manage their memberships, events, communications and fundraising campaigns. We empower our clients and assist them when they need us.
