Update Language Files

Updates CiviCRM languages files, for both core and extensions.

Once installed, this extension allows you to:

• Update the translation files for CiviCRM core or extensions, by visiting either the Administer > System Settings > Manage Extensions page or Administer > System Settings > Localization Settings.
• In Administer > System Settings > Localization: In "single language mode" this extension allows you to select/enable multiple languages (by default, it is only possible to do so if the language files are already installed).

How to translate an extension?

Extension translations are managed on Transifex. When an extension has a new release, the strings from that extension are pushed to Transifex. Then, every night, the CiviCRM infrastructure has a process that packages translations from Transifex into the translation file format used by CiviCRM. Those are the files are fetched by this extension.

This extension is the successor to localization-update. It supports newer features in CiviCRM core that simplify translation updates.
