UK Sprint 2024 Ashbourne

We will have a CiviCRM sprint from the 16th to the 21st September 2024 in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The idea is to have as many community members present as possible so we can make good progress on writing code, improving the books and having a good time!

There is also a 2 day CiviCRM Developer training course taking place at the same venue.

Sprints are friendly and welcoming events that provide an opportunity for you to get to know the rest of the CiviCRM community and contribute back to the project at the same time. They are ideal for working on your pet project, learning about the latest developments in CiviCRM and building up your CiviCRM network.

Three members of the core team will be attending the sprint along with many active CiviCRM contributors so this is a great opportunity to get more involved.

The sprint is residential. We'll be staying in the lovely Somersal Cottages. The cost below includes accommodation, meals and drinks. Please let us know if you have any particular requirements.

The nature of the accommodation is that some rooms will be shared with other attendees (Up to four per room but they are mainly single and twin rooms). Rooms will be allocated based on gender (i.e. males sharing / females sharing) but if you have any considerations you’d like taken into account on your allocation, please contact us. We want to ensure everyone is comfortable.

We recommend attending the full sprint but you're welcome to come for a shorter time if you prefer (3 days is probably the shortest amount of time you would want to come for).

You can arrive from 4pm on Monday the 16th September and we will co-ordinate transport from Uttoexter station on the Monday. If you are making your own way to the sprint the nearest train station is at Uttoxeter, which is five miles from the venue (15-20 minutes in a taxi).
