WHAT'S NEW IN CIVICRM 4.7.30:

  •  Core CiviCRM updates:

Site administrators can now choose to suppress activity assignee notifications for certain activity types even while assignee notifications are enabled for other activity types. More details.

CiviCRM now requires a minimum of PHP 5.4 to run or install, though versions below 5.6 are not advised and will display a notice. PHP 7.0 is the recommended version. More details.

Entities such as contacts, cases, and others can now be exported from a form at a URL specifying the IDs of each entity to export. More details

The frontend user dashboard now has regions specified before and after each section. Extensions can now easily instert markup in these regions. More details.

The activity report can now display and filter by the activity location. More details.

  • CiviCase

Inbound emails can now specify a case ID and be accurately filed to the corresponding case. More details.

  • CiviMail
Email abuse reports from email providers are now recorded similarly to spam report bounce messages, causing them to be handled as more severe bounces. More details

The "Clicks" item in the mailing summary report is now specified as "Unique Clicks" to highlight the fact that it displays the number of recipients who clicked items rather than the number of actual clicks. More details

  • CiviMember

If a recurring contribution auto-renews a membership, a link to the membership now appears when viewing the recurring contribution. More details.

Please refer to the release notes for complete list of changes!

NEW INSTALLATIONS

If you are installing CiviCRM 4.7 from scratch, please use the corresponding automated installer instructions:

Authorize.net users:: Prior to 4.7, CiviCRM forced Authorize.net to send out receipt emails regardless of Authorize.net configuration. From 4.7 onwards this will not happen and you should log into your Authorize.net interface and configure whether you want Authorize.net to send out receipts (in addition to those sent by CiviCRM).

Lybunt report users:: Some fields that were previously mandatory on Lybunt are now optional. On new reports they are on by default but you might need to check the fields you want are selected for existing reports.

UPGRADING TO 4.7

If your site is highly customized with special code or theming for CiviCRM you will want to upgrade a test copy first and test your customizations. For everyone else, follow these simple steps to get yourself up and running with 4.7.
