It was back in 2009, my two sisters were starting a non-profit project related to their passion: Indian Classical Dance. The project was called Güngur and I decided to help them out. So, I googled “CRM + Open Source + Free + nonprofit” and CiviCRM came up.

Carlos Capote (Amnesty),Pablo Sullivan (Movimiento por la Paz) and iXiam co-organized CiviDay in Madrid. Thanks to them, more than 60 people had the chance to enjoy this event (almost 90 registrations in civicrm.org)

We thought that the best approach was to define a “Budget Revision Group” that will be managing and following up all the budget requests.

Even though this was a huge accomplishment, other challenges remained.
