For current CiviCRM users with some experience and who are comfortable with basic functionalities.

Your CiviCRM database is the central hub of your nonprofit's fundraising efforts, membership and contact management, event organization and other important ongoing initiatives. Because of its integral role in your organization, your database requires ongoing maintenance to ensure optimum performance.

More details:
CiviCRM custom data fields are defined and configured by you to record and collect data about your constituents that is relevant to your organization e.g. industry, nationality, etc. Profiles are used to collect basic and custom data about your constituents, for example, when they register for an event or make a donation online.  BUT....if your data is unorganized, out-dated, and you can’t seem to figure out how to effectively search for and report on your data, customizing your database will only add to the mess!

This class will provide you will the skills you need to effectively organize, customize, maintain, and search your database by teaching you how to:

  • Keep your contact data clean and healthy
  • Keep your financial data accurate
  • Minimize the risk of spam contact and contribution creation
  • Create and organize custom data
  • Create and edit profiles to effectively gather the data you need
  • Use different tools available for searching your data
  • Create and personalize reports

Prerequisite recommendation:
"Fundamentals of Contact Management" class or proficient knowledge of contact management.
