As part of the UK CiviCamp event in October, we are also offering two-day Administrator Training and two-day Residential Developer Training on CiviCRM.
- Administrator Training: October 3rd and 4th, 9am to 5pm
- Developer Training: October 8th and 9th, 9am to 5pm
The Administrator Training is for users who want to upskill and have more control over their CiviCRM database, to better understand the components and how to customise the site. It’s also useful for organisations who are about to implement CiviCRM in their workplace and want to get a head start, and for developers who want a better understanding of the user experience.
Over the two days, you will cover the functionality of each of the CiviCRM components and set-up, as well as the potential customisations available. There are lots of practical and hands-on exercises to help increase your confidence, so you should leave this with greater knowledge and understand of you can get the best out of your CiviCRM installation.
This will be held at St Thomas Centre in Manchester, and is immediately followed the day after with the CiviCamp where you will have the opportunity to listen to case studies showcasing how these components work in practice. The cost is £450 and this includes all lunch and refreshements throughout the two days.
The Developer Training is for those who want to better understand how CiviCRM works ‘under the hood’. This training covers the infrstructure and ideal development environment to work with CiviCRM in order to contribute to the open source project and improve core. This training also covers the basics for writing extensions for CiviCRM, and will provide hands-on experience with writing your own extension as well as the tools used to test and share your extensions.

This training is run alongside the Sprint at the residential centre in the Peak District, and you can stay on at the Sprint for no extra cost where you will have the chance to get directly involved in the project, as well as hear more specialised workshops and feedback from other CiviCRM developers and Contributors throughtout the week. The cost is £500, which includes food and accommodation during the training, plus the Sprint is included free if you choose to stay on.
