This October 3rd and 4th, it's CiviCon London 2013 - CiviCRM's Annual European Conference.  CiviCon London is two days jam packed with super-interesting and informative sessions showing you how to make the most out of CiviCRM at your organisation.  It's the best place for you to meet and network with people that can give you advice, share best practice, and help you with your CiviCRM project. But don't take our word for it - hear what people had to say about last years event and register now!.

Sessions

Courtesy of our amazing community, we have a full line up of presentations, case studies and workshops. Remember - you don't need to be a techie to enjoy CiviCon! Whether you ar just getting started, or have been using it for years, we'll have something for you.

We kick off with a 'state of the project' overview from CiviCRM co-founder, Dave Greenberg, and are excited to welcome Thomas Muirhead (head of CRM at Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research) to present our keynote on the shift from propriety to open source solutions at non profits, and how CiviCRM is leading the way.

We then have a full two days of sessions for users, implementors and developers.

For users

  • what's new in 4.4 - a plain english explanation (with examples!) of all the new features in CiviCRM 4.4 including better campaign tracking, faster searching, improvements to event name badges and soft credit improvements
  • End user round table [needs confirmation and a link] - a look at how four different organisations (Green Renters, Little Ship Club, European Register of Exercise Professionals, and George House Trust) are using CiviCRM to further their missions
  • using CIviCase for projects - how Oasis have enabled their local hubs to create and manage projects using CiviCase
  • Four new ways we're using Civi - Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research will talk about how they are using scheduled reminders to create advanced marketing automation, building fundraising pages, using Pentaho with CiviCRM for reporting, and intergrating Outlook and Civi in a multi user organisation.

For developers

  • Developing and Extending CiviCRM - This workshop will introduce CiviCRM's architecture and drill-down on how to write your own cross-platform extensions.

  • New technology roundup - we've adopted quite a few new and neat tools recently: Github, Jenkins, Backbone, Composer, Symfony - find out how they are helping make CiviCRM rock.

Huge thanks to Jamie and Xavier for doing a great job with the session selection.

Training and sprints

Don't forget, we are running a two day user and administrator training (£50 off when you register for CiviCon) on October 1st and 2nd (the two days before CiviCon).  The training gives you a great grounding in CiviCRM and is a great way to learn / brush up your CiviCRM so you can get the most out of the conference. We also have two sprints (what is a sprint?) - a two day before CiviCon sprint, and afterwards, a week long sprint in Settle, Yorkshire. Attendees of all skill levels are encouraged to attend and contribute to making CiviCRM even better!
