Ginkgo Street Labs is excited to announce the release of CiviVolunteer 1.4 for CiviCRM 4.5.x and 4.6.x! This release was made possible by funding from Manhattan Neighborhood Network, the country's largest community media center.

As Andrew wrote earlier this week, the post-CiviCon code sprint in Tahoe, CA, has divided up into smaller teams in an effort to bring version 4.5 to feature-freeze. I've been working in Kurund's group, and I've been nominated to report on our progress thus far. As we head into Day 4 of the sprint, we've closed 15 of the 26 issues assigned to our group and tackled a few issues in other groups' queues.

This weekend I pushed out version 1.3 of CiviVolunteer. It contains a handful of bugfixes (check out the commit history for more on that) and a new feature that is the subject of this post.

Thousands of feet in the air, halfway between my Washington, D.C. home and the cottage I shared with 20+ CiviCRMers for the better part of a week, I struggle to sum up the code sprint that has put ideas into motion like pinballs inside my head.
