Configuring and Customizing CiviCRM - Boston Area
This hands-on 1-day training session is targeted at administrators, integrators and developers who want to learn more about configuring and customizing CiviCRM to meet their organization / client needs.
Agenda
The agenda will be finalized based on your interests. Topics include:
- Configuring CiviCRM - site preferences, dedupe rules, mapping, reCAPTCHA, payment processors, localisation
- Advanced features - price sets for events, message templates, batch update via profile, checksum authentication, command-line scripts...
- Customizing CiviCRM - custom data, custom templates, intro to hooks
- Integrating CiviCRM with Drupal and Joomla, including user/contact synchronization, Profiles, Organic Groups, Views2, Joomla extensions
- State of the project and input into upcoming releases
If you are an experienced developer AND are relatively new to CiviCRM, consider attending both this session and Extending CiviCRM - Developer Training the next day (January 22nd).
Participants should be prepared to bring their own wifi capable laptop.
There will be a $300 charge for this event. If your organization can't cover this cost - send email to lobo @ civicrm dot org to discuss options for bartering services. Limited discounts of up to 50% are available in exchange for services. You must submit your request prior to Jan 15 to be considered.
