Nope, no strings, we just want people to ask questions in the new help site to get the ball rolling before it's open to the general public.

There are no dumb questions, ask away, and if your question needs clarification, we'll help you with that too.
When will the new site launch?
We'll be entering the private phase in a couple of months, but you need to sign up now if you want access to it. If you miss this chance, you'll have to wait until the site opens up to the general public several weeks later.
How is this new site different from the existing CiviCRM forums?
The forums are a helpful place, but it's not always easy to find things. In this new site, the correct answer to every question will be right there at the top (no scrolling through pages of conversations to find it).
How do I sign up?
Just click this link, then click the "commit" button to say that you will participate in the beta. You can use facebook or google to sign-in, no need to create yet another username and password (but you can if you want to). That's it, we'll let you know as soon as the beta site is up and running. Tell your friends! The more people who commit to participate now, the quicker we can get the beta underway.

Joomla - Will there be assistance for Joomla users? or upgrade for version 3.3.
Alot of problems and so far difficult to locate information online..Very frustrating as the system looks great if one could only get it to work.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble installing the software.
Setting up web-based software can be challenging and requires a certain amount of skill and/or patience.
We have detailed installation instructions and a forum for getting help, but hiring expert help is sometimes the most expedient way to go.
