Come join CiviCRM core team members Coleman, Eileen, Josh, Mathieu and Tim for our "sprint" event for contributors based in the centre of Manchester, UK.
There are no hard and fast requirements for attending a sprint, apart from a desire to work on improving CiviCRM in some way and the time to do it. The idea is that we can work on improving CiviCRM, have fun, network with other community members and increase your skills and knowledge at the same time. Having skills in specific areas like coding, documentation, writing tests, etc. is great but not a requirement.
Examples of areas we plan to work on at this sprint include:
- Converting core pages to use SearchKit and Form Builder, including updating the guides to match
- Further development of SearchKit and Form Builder
- Discussion of larger SearchKit / Form Builder roadmap items - eg remote forms, payments
- Enhancing documentation around SearchKit and Form Builder
- Creating, reviewing and publishing extensions
- Fixing bugs
- Improving CiviCRM marketing
- Wider discussions about CiviCRM
The sprint runs from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th of October 2022 with optional pre-sprint events on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th. This is your chance to get more involved with CiviCRM, meet other members of the community and help push the project forward.
For full details and to register see https://civicrm.org/events/sprint/2022-manchester for full details. The event attendance cost is $105 but please bear in mind this does not include accommodation. Once you are registered we'll get in touch before the sprint to ask about the topics you'd like to cover. If you are arriving in Manchester on the 8th or 9th please let us know as we are also organising the pre sprint events in the City Centre (with meeting space already booked for Sunday the 9th all day).
There will also probably be CiviCRM developer training running on the 6th and 7th of October at the same City Centre venue. The attendance cost is around $500. For more details please see
We hope that you can join us in Manchester. If you would like to come along, or you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
I have signed up and hope for nice meetup with lots of lovely people from the community! Looking forward to it.
