The fourth (and probably final) 2.1 Beta distribution is now available for download on SourceForge.
If you are planning on using new 2.1 features AND / OR upgrading an existing site to 2.1 - NOW is the time to test the upgrade with YOUR DATA and identify any remaining issues with new or existing features. The development team will actively work with you resolve any upgrade issues during this phase of the release cycle.
If you are unable to test the release by downloading it - then the next best thing is to try out the new features, bug fixes, as well as the workflows you use most often by logging in to the public demo.
New 2.1 Installations
If you are installing CiviCRM 2.1 Beta from scratch, use the installation instructions linked below:
Upgrading from 2.0 to 2.1
If you are upgrading an existing 2.1 site (working with a copy of the site, of course), we have provided a browser-based database upgrade script. Instructions for upgrading are here:
Upgrading from 2.1 Beta 3 to Beta 4
There are no database / schema changes - so you can upgrade from beta 3 to beta 4 by following the "Upgrade to a new Revision" procedures:
Reporting Issues and Bugs
If you have questions installing, upgrading and / or using 2.1 features - or you're seeing a problem and you're not sure if it's a bug - please post your issue to the
2.1 release testing section of the community forums. Include as many specifics as possible about the issue or question.
You can see the current list of remaining
open issues here out of the 500+ issues that were on
2.1 roadmap.
