We're just back from the first UK CiviCRM user group meeting of 2011, hosted by Circle Interactive http://www.circle-interactive.co.uk in Bristol.

An engaged group of users and a lively discussion on growing the CiviCRM community. We'll be holding more user group meetups throughout the year in Bristol, London and Manchester.

In addition there are two training events coming up.

Bristol, 16 March - Introduction to CiviCRM

On 16 March Circle Interactive in Bristol are hosting a one-day Introduction to CiviCRM with tutor Sean Kenny.

The course will give an overview of CiviCRM use in small to medium sized organisations and in the first session will offer hands on tutoring in everyday Civi tasks:

Recording and managing information about your contacts Extending records by collecting custom data Scheduling, performing and logging Activities

In the afternoon there will be the opportunity to take a good look at two key modules that extend CiviCRM and make it a drop in replacement for proprietary Direct Mailing and Event Management software. CiviMail and CiviEvent.

London, 14-15 April - CiviCRM user and administrator training

On 14-15 April Third Sector Design http://thirdsectordesign.org are hosting a comprehensive two day hands-on training course covering the configuration, administration, and every-day use of CiviCRM. We're running this in partnership with Michał Mach and Piotr Szotkowski from the core CiviCRM team so you'll be learning from the very best!

The training will be of interest to administrators and technical users at organisations that are either using CiviCRM, or interested in evaluating it. It is also useful for staff at organisations that develop or implement CiviCRM who need a complete understanding of "out of the box" features and configuration options.

This is the third CiviCRM training event that we are running in partnership with the core team and feedback from previous events has been really positive, so come along and take your CiviCRM knowledge to the next level!

Alongside the user and administrator training, we can also run a developer training, for people that want to learn more about customizing and extending CiviCRM to meet their organization/client needs.  Developer training is subject to sufficient demand, so please get in touch with Third Sector Design if you are interested.
