Training: Configuring CiviCRM Entity in Drupal 10+
CiviCRM Entity integrates CiviCRM data as Drupal entity types. Drupal’s Entity API is used by 100s of Drupal modules, making it possible for a wide variety of functionality to be leveraged in your CiviCRM / Drupal website.
In this session, you will learn how to install and configure CiviCRM Entity properly and safely.
Topics include:
- Overview of the settings page, and explanation of each setting
- The “Enabled Entity Type” settings, meaning and consequences
- When to enable an entity type, and the View/Add/Edit/Delete pages.
- CiviCRM Entity related permissions and access control that should be considered after enabling an entity type.
- The “Disable pre/post hooks” settings and when to use them.
Additionally, we’ll provide an overview of out-of-the-box functionality available and illustrate some of the many Drupal modules that you can leverage, including Views, Rules, Layout Builder, Search API, and more. This training is suitable for site builders and site administrators.
