CiviCRM for Nonprofits: Integrating with WordPress

In 2012 CiviCRM, the open source CRM system, released a version that's compatible with WordPress, the open source website publishing software. Together these tools allow an organization to manage both the content on their website and their engagement with constituent members.

Out of the box, WordPress provides an easy way to publish content on your website, including blogs, news, events, and programs. There is also a wide variety of plugins available to help create a feature-rich website, helping engage your visitors. With WordPress and CiviCRM on your website, it's the best of both worlds. You can publish new content with ease using WordPress. And your visitors' website activity automatically updates their profiles in CiviCRM, allowing you to see how a specific contact interacts with your organization over time. It is exciting because it accomplishes in one step what used to be three!

This workshop is ideal for organizations that may have a WordPress website or are thinking about using WordPress for their website and want to find new ways of engaging and communicating with visitors. This is an introductory training. No experience with WordPress or CiviCRM is needed. Experienced users may find the course too basic.
