After receiving multiple requests, we are pleased to now be able to offer our CiviCRM trainings online. In addition to hosting these events in a new format, we are also offering trainings on new topics.
A new regular online training is the New User Training. We believe that this will be an effective way for organizations to on board a new employee who is using CiviCRM for the first time. As a CiviCRM consultant with almost a decade of experience working with and for nonprofits, I’ve found that many nonprofit employees have no idea how their work and processes affect the people around them. With that in mind, even if you don’t have any new employees, it could be useful to encourage long term employees who have infrequent interactions with CiviCRM to learn how their colleagues are using CiviCRM.
Also new, is the Managing Contacts and Relationships. As a trainer, I’ve always noted that clients really struggle with data planning around contacts and relationships in particular. This training will focus specifically on the difference between contact types, adding a contact subtype, adding new relationship types, and when it is appropriate to add new relationship types and contact subtypes. This training will be available virtually.
And I will close this with a brief but important CiviCRM consultant PSA, I would strongly encourage all organizations to budget time and money for CiviCRM training in the new year, whether it is with AGH Strategies or not. While the time investment can seem daunting at times, it will pay dividends when tasks are being completed more efficiently and your employees are feeling more confident in their day to day work.
