The sessions committee is working on developing the program for CiviCon Colorado 2016 and are receiving session topics through Friday March 18. The approach to the session tracks will be different than in previous years.

The sessions will be divided into two categories. One track will be focused on the CiviCRM product and will be divided into two segments: Beginner/User & Advanced/Implementer. The other track will be focused on the CiviCRM community.

  • The Product Track will be on focused, concise topics related to the use, administration and implementation of CiviCRM and related CMS.

  • The Community Track will heavily involve members, partners and core team members leading and participating in discussions such as Moving the Community Forward, Bringing Together and Growing the Community, Funding, Marketing, What Do We Want To Do/Where Do We Want To Go, etc. In these times of CiviCRM funding shortages, API v4, cross-CMS support, setting next core team priorities - and more topics - will have dedicated time for extended discussions.

As in past years there will be a time slot for Lightning Talks & Birds of a Feather groups. We are also setting aside an area for an “Ask the Expert” or “Consultant's Cafe” where participants can ask specific questions of community members with experience.

Submissions for session topics can be a made through the website https://colorado2016.civicrm.org. The deadline for submission is March 18. We plan on announcing a the final list April 1. If you have an idea for a session please put in a submission. At this point you only need submit a topic and summary. Do you have a technical topic, want to share a case study or have an idea for developing and growing the community? Submit your topic today!
