As you may have heard, CiviCRM is about to launch an exciting new help site on Stack Exchange, which will make getting support with CiviCRM easier and more effective.

The new site is about to launch, but the initial "beta" phase will only be available to a limited group of people. This pilot group will have unprecidented access to world's top CiviCRM experts, and it's not too late for you to join them.

Sign up now to be part of the pilot group and gain exclusive access to the best free CiviCRM help on the planet.

Are there any strings attached? Am I going to have to take a survey or something?
Nope, no strings, we just want people to ask questions in the new help site to get the ball rolling before it's open to the general public.

What if my questions aren't good enough?
There are no dumb questions, ask away, and if your question needs clarification, we'll help you with that too.

When will the new site launch?
We'll be entering the private phase in a couple of months, but you need to sign up now if you want access to it. If you miss this chance, you'll have to wait until the site opens up to the general public several weeks later.

How is this new site different from the existing CiviCRM forums?
The forums are a helpful place, but it's not always easy to find things. In this new site, the correct answer to every question will be right there at the top (no scrolling through pages of conversations to find it).

How do I sign up?
Just click this link, then click the "commit" button to say that you will participate in the beta. You can use facebook or google to sign-in, no need to create yet another username and password (but you can if you want to). That's it, we'll let you know as soon as the beta site is up and running. Tell your friends! The more people who commit to participate now, the quicker we can get the beta underway.

Joomla - Will there be assistance for Joomla users? or upgrade for version 3.3.

Alot of problems and so far difficult to locate information online..Very frustrating as the system looks great if one could only get it to work.

Thankyou

Hey people,

Getting more of our users over the 200 mark on another stack exchange site is what will push us into beta.  This is actually EASY and FUN to do, but don't take my word for it - see http://discuss.area51.stackexchange.com/questions/18678/how-long-might-it-take-to-build-up-a-reputation-of-200-on-another-site. I created this wiki page where people who want our help to get to over 200 can sign up, and we can keep track of people we are pushing over the limit: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/Stack+Exchange+proposal

  • If you want to get to 200, add your name here and start answering questions on another stack exchange site. People will come here and vote up your good answers (which should of course, be written in good faith, with the aim of gaining or sharing knowledge).
  • If you want to help people get to 200, choose someone here and add to their reputation when you think they deserve it. Of course, all your votes should be for genuinely helpful posts, we want our presence on StackExchange to be a win-win for everyone.

Thanks all!
