HR is difficult.  Especially if you’re a non-profit, seeking a system that is both affordable and comprehensive.

Many of you will have heard we are working on a project called CiviHR. This a project to make a great open source HR system for non-profits.

With seed funding from the Zing foundation, CiviHR is a fully featured HR system, based on a core of CiviCRM and Drupal, that will be freely available for non-profit organisations.

In the next few months we will be coming to our first release milestone and so, we wanted to officially unveil to you CiviHR, our new website, and blog series. We hope these will be a portal to share our work, our experiences and our HR insights.

With the input from our Launch Clients and other charities who gave us their time to be a part of this project, we were able to design a solution that accommodates all their requirements. From leave tracking to staff portal, it meets the standards of other great HR software available today but at an affordable price for the non-profit sector.

We would like to invite all of you, no matter how big or small you are, where on the map you may be, whether you’re happy with your HR system or not, to be a part of our story and to help shape the future of this project.

Our blog series will feature a post a week, until our official launch on September 8th.  We hope you will a devoted reader, interested commenter, and helpful sharer.

Have you thought about integrating CiviHR with a timekeeping/payroll system like the open source https://www.timetrex.com/
