Learn how to better manage your Special Events using CiviCRM.  In this on-line training class designed for current users, we will explore three examples of different special events and the particulars of creating a price set and profile(s) for each event in order to accurately track participants, offer different pricing options and gather specific event related information from registrants.  We will share best practices for registering multiple participants and how to configure your profiles to accommodate the different options. Hello! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.  My name is Angela Bruns and I will be Conference Coordinator for the North American CiviCon 2016 in Fort Collins, CO.  My background is in event planning and volunteer management within Colorado nonprofit organizations and I am excited to be a part of this conference. 

The conference will be held on the Colorado State University campus and is scheduled for May 31 – June 8, 2016.  Trainings will happen May 31 & June 1, the Conference will take place June 2 & 3, and the Sprint will follow on June 4 – 8. After receiving multiple requests, we are pleased to now be able to offer our CiviCRM trainings online. In addition to hosting these events in a new format, we are also offering trainings on new topics.

A new regular online training is the New User Training. We believe that this will be an effective way for organizations to on board a new employee who is using CiviCRM for the first time. As a CiviCRM consultant with almost a decade of experience working with and for nonprofits, I’ve found that many nonprofit employees have no idea how their work and processes affect the people around them. With that in mind, even if you don’t have any new employees, it could be useful to encourage long term employees who have infrequent interactions with CiviCRM to learn how their colleagues are using CiviCRM.

Cividesk is offering two NEW on-line classes in November designed for more advanced users of CiviCRM.  Each class is two hours long and class size is kept small to allow for questions.

"Customize your database with Custom Fields and Profiles" on November 12th will focus on creating custom data sets for different record types, configuring the related settings and choosing the best field types for your data.  We will also focus on the many uses of profiles in CiviCRM and how to create profiles for on-line pages, a membership directory and a petition.
