Roundlake Christian Camp
Roundlake Christian Camp is a summer camp and retreat center based in central Ohio 1 1/2 hours north of Columbus Ohio. The purpose of the site was simply to allow camp registrants and volunteers to sign-up for camps and retreats online.
Background
To allow camp and retreat participants to sign-up online and allow camp organizers and volunteers to mange and report on camp/retreat participants.
Challenges
Working with the CiviCRM hooks system to allow volunteers and campers sign-up in such a way that compensated for the multiple scenarios under which people sign-up (ie are they paying, or are their parent's paying? Are they volunteers over 17 hence need a background check? Do they need to pay a t-shirt fee which is only necessary if they haven't already once this year)
Solution
The most important factor as that it's hosted on the web and the ability to manage events using CiviEvent
Functionality
Being able to allow people to sign-up online and report on who owed what when they showed up on the day camp started. Further, Demographic information was stored in a number of custom fields. The plan is for fundraising data to be stored in the site in the future once they convert from their old Microsoft Access database.
