The Business Development Manager– New Business for iATS Payment, Inc will be responsible for seeking out and establishing new channel partners working with non-profit organizations in the North American market place. They will also be responsible for establishing iATS as a primary payment processor for non-profit organizations among channel partners, ensuring maximum client referral from the partner to iATS.

 

This role, reporting to the VP Business Development, is an essential part of the iATS team and will need to be able to identify trends in the market place, identify competitors’ movements, and come up with strategies to sell iATS products and services to prospective partners.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Identify Channel Partners, Consultants, Web Developers, etc. that work in the non-profit space that require payment processing and aim to get iATS integrated as a payment service provider. 
  • Identify channel partners that will contribute to sales/profitability of company – categorize partners based on size and potential by: Cold Calling (finding), onboarding (negotiating contracts), nurturing (integration with iATS), and seamless handover to Business Development Relationship Managers.
  • Provide channel partner’s feedback and suggestions to Senior Management for potential new product development 
  • Maintain up to date channel partner lead contact list. 
  • Work closely with channel partner to help close large client deals in the non-profit sector. 
  • Act as knowledge-centered resource on products, services, legislation, processes and policies, all designed to increase merchant count and partner education. 
  •  Assist in the strategic planning for channel partner relations. 
  • 30% Travel required. 
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) strongly preferred. 
  • A Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Corporate/Business environment (preferably in Sales or Business Development). 
  • Experience with inside or outside sales, account management, account development. 
  • Highly organized and able to keep accurate records detailing the sales process for each Channel Partner. 
  • A self-starter who is extremely motivated and able to work independently without direct supervision. 
  • Comfortable overcoming objections and asking detailed questions as part of the sales process. 
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a timely fashion. 
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure all information is gathered for onboarding of channel partner accurately. 
  • Strong networking skills. 
  • Strategic planner to grow pipeline. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of computer software systems including Salesforce.com, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. 
  •  Experience in the payment processing industry and in the non-profit sector advantageous. 

 

The Ideal Candidate will have practical sales experience, knowledge of Salesforce, transactions processing, and a passion for the Non-Profit community. Experience in Business–to-Business partner development is a plus!
