Hello, CiviCRM World. Here we are at the European Code Sprint in Apeldoorn. As the official website http://www.apeldoorn.nl/smartsite.dws?id=127356 says: if there is one city in the Netherlands where living and working, commerce and recreation, natural beauty and urban style all come together, it must be Apeldoorn.  I'm inclined to agree!

The CiviMobile web app is now underway and being developed with the jQuery Mobile framework (HTML 5). 

The app is Based on the prototype that Xavier and Kyle created, and is beginning to take shape, the functionality in place at the moment includes contact/activity search, add contact and view list of events.  It’s intended to be used by an organisation’s staff, as a tool for them to use on the move.

Having just had to import data that included a membership number for a client, rather than make a new field for the number it made sense to use the Contact ID, given that this is already a consecutive number and unique to each contact. The problem was that over the years there were big gaps in the consecutive numbers.
