Involving, and listening closely to feedback from the end user has been one of the key strategies for the development of CiviHR since before its first release. We are delighted to share that SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action) has joined our end-user team on March 4th, 2014.
The CiviCRM community is hard at work on version 4.5 and even in its pre-alpha state I have to say it is looking really good! I'll do another blog in a few weeks about all the features and improvements users have to look forward to. But developers, this one is for you. Whether you maintain a CiviCRM extension, submit pull-requests, or develop customizations for your sites, you definitely want to read on...
Christmas is long over, yet we have a wish: we want to introduce a new field to `civicrm_contribution`, (tentatively) called `sequence_number`. This will give contributions records belonging to a recurring contribution some self-awareness, by recording which installment in the series each contribution record represents.
Going to the NTEN Nonprofit Technology Conference in DC this week? Join us at several CiviCRM community events!
As part of the the CiviCRM community, you’ve accomplished so much over the last eight years. You’ve helped build CiviCRM up from a simple contact management and email platform to a CRM that is uniquely able to serve the needs of nonprofits -- with support for volunteer coordination, event management, advocacy campaigns, and more. Alongside ambassadors and implementers, you’ve grown the CiviCRM community to include over 8,000 organizations.
CiviHR 1.2 Beta was released yesterday, most of the team is already working on the Recruitment module (see Tim's blog with mockups), while the rest of us are now putting together business requirements for the next major module - Training.
The Beta version of CiviHR 1.2 has now been released. This version adds an Absences module to CiviHR, allowing the recording and management of Vacations, Sickness, Maternity, Paternity, TOIL, and Other Absences.
Staff and volunteers can view their past and present absence requests, and request approval for future ones. The administrator can define absence periods, public holidays and new types of absence.
