Higher Logic, the leader in association and nonprofit community engagement platforms, and CiviCRM, the open source CRM and AMS leader, are announcing an important integration. The Higher Logic community platform will now be able to work seamlessly with the leading open source AMS and nonprofit CRM. CiviCRM has over 10,000 active sites. Additionally, over 2,000 of these sites have at least 25,000 constituents (see Civi stats). This integration to the CiviCRM ecosystem further strengthens its competitiveness in the AMS and nonprofit CRM space.
BackOffice Thinking, a leading nonprofit technology consulting firm, who is also a founding CiviCRM partner with significant experience with Higher Logic, developed the integration.

I admit it. I tried to implement Salesforce. I was just starting Chase the Music and I had big goals. I’d used CiviCRM for a very small community foundation and it had worked great. But, Chase the Music was going to be big. We needed a Rolls Royce to support some very big and important goals. I researched and found that SalesForce was the Rolls Royce of CRMs. The biggest and best of the worlds organizations were using it. When I read that I could get a 10 passenger Rolls (err 10 licenses for SalesForce) for free I thought WOW. I knew that later I’d have to pay, but for now 10 licenses would last a long time. So, I applied.
The fact that I had to apply probably should have been my first warning sign.

Just arrived back home after spending a few days with the CiviCRM community in Brussels. And as always I really enjoyed myself and returned inspired and full of inspiration.
I started last Sunday, 4 feb 2018 at FOSDEM (https://fosdem.org/2018/). What an experience, I have never seen so many geeks in one spot! It was great to dive in, look at all the stands And I had a nice chat at the CiviCRM stand. Good that we (as in the CiviCRM community) had a stand there and we all took turns. Thanks Tim, Mathieu, Jaap, Klaas, Michael, Alain, Rose, Fabian, Björn and Phil. Quite enjoyed the dinner afterwards too :-)

Last year, we overhauled the CiviCRM contributor program, allowing individuals to submit details about their contributions online as well combined the contributor and partner listing. So far this year, we’ve seen an increase in contributions being logged as well as a new revision to site that improves visibility of contributions. We thought it’d be a good time to recap where the program is at, answer a few common questions, and highlight where we see it going.

CiviCRM will have a booth at FOSDEM 2018, the biggest European open source conference.
FOSDEM is a great opportunity to promote CiviCRM and meet other members this big free and open source family. With over 8000 participants, it is really a huge event.

Two months ago, I launched a Make It Happen campaign to build a System Administrator Guide with the goal of migrating the installation, setup, and upgrade documentation out of the wiki and into a beautiful guide on our new documentation platform. Amazingly, the MIH campaign reached its $2,000 USD minimum in only 4 days — which meant I could get to work right away!
