I am developing a CiviCRM installation for a client. The charity uses a colour-coding system to note their service users’ medical conditions. The client was keen to carry this colour coding over into the database. The trick was getting the CRM to use the correct colour code depending on what condition has been selected.

The team is super excited to announce that the ninth beta release of CiviCRM 4.5 is now available for downloading AND you can try it out on the 4.5 sandbox site!

It's a little over a year since we launched the 4.2 LTS with the intention being to ensure security patches until at least the end of last year. Those of us who have been involved in or used the 4.2 LTS  consider it to have been a  success, providing a secure and very reliable release of CiviCRM, therefore saving support time. But we've recently seen a lot of organizations upgrading to 4.4 and the LTS no longer has the critical mass of users and contributors to keep it healthy.

Generously funded by Zing, Civicon London will see the launch of new functionality enabling Civi to handle recurring events and much more. Rather than being restricted to ‘one-off’ events, Civi will now handle far more complex scenarios.

There is a newly updated version of the native extension called "Fancy Tokens". This new version (2.1) includes enhancements suggested by the community. Specifically the request from Xavier to include tokens for individual event registration pages, where the event ID can be easily changed.
