I was accepted into the Google Summer of Code program this year to write the Drupal 8 integration modules for CiviCRM and work has progressed well so far. Drupal 8 is on track for a release this year and hopefully CiviCRM will be Drupal 8 ready about the time it goes final. In the course of this work I’ve taken up some strong opinions with how CiviCRM should orient itself in the future with regards to the CMSs it supports.
CiviCRM has an opening for a part time fundraiser, who will work with the core team to strengthen financial relationships with vendors and end-user organizations. Primary responsibilities will include managing the partner and member programs, as well as setting strategic direction for financially funding the platform over the next five to ten years.

As part of my GSoC 2014 project which is to improve the usability of CiviMail, I have come up with 2 mockups. I would appreciate feedback regarding which mockup would be a superior fit.
Aim of the Project
This week, I began work on my Google Summer of code 2014 project “Bootstrap and CiviCRM”. The project was proposed and selected to address the following goals:
1. Improve the user interface of CiviCRM
2. Provide a consistent and scalable UI framework for developers to extend/customize CiviCRM
3. Make CiviCRM compatible with mobile devices
The Alliance for Catholic Education at University of Notre Dame is a nationwide program that forms teachers and school leaders and provides research and broad support for Catholic schools across the country. ACE seeks to ensure that none of today’s social and economic hurdles will prevent any child from experiencing the gift of an excellent education.
I run an adult education program for my home town’s public school system called Livingston ACE. It’s small. I’m a one-man show. When I was hired for the job several years ago, I promised to transition the program from a paper catalog with no website to a web-based catalog with online registrations and email advertising. I chose CiviCRM. I had no prior experience with it.
