CiviCRM 4.1.3 has been released and is available for immediate download from SourceForge. This is a security release which addresses several potential vulnerabilities. We recommend that you upgrade as soon as possible.

So maybe filling out forms isn't anybody's idea of a good time, but at least building them can be fun, thanks to the shiny new version 3 of Webform CiviCRM Integration!

The PROGRESSIVE TECHNOLOGY PROJECT (PTP) is seeking a Data Specialist to join our PowerBase team. PowerBase is a customized, hosted version of the open source platform, CiviCRM, developed by PTP specifically for groups doing community organizing.

After discussion with core team members, mainly Dave Greenberg, there has been some discussion in the past about how to use the primary_contact_id field within organization contact type.  I would like to revisit this after having about a year's time with CiviCRM and putting it into production use.  Please chime in with any thoughts or other use cases that you see this field being used for.

Nfpservices are looking forward to the next CiviCRM London Seminar which will take place  on Tuesday 19th June at our London Office.

The seminar was a great success last month with several new organisations being introduced to CiviCRM and understanding the potential of the product.

English is the default language of CiviCRM, but many translations are available. For example, Russian, Chinese, French, Dutch and Japanese are 100% completion (or almost). Italian, Danish, Spanish, Swedish, German and Portuguese are also very advanced. There are 64 languages and variants on Transifex at the moment of this writing.

Despite torrential rains yesterday, New York City's first CiviCRM Co-Working day was a hit. A diverse group of people representing workers unions, religious organizations, Occupy Wall Street, The Drupal Association and more gathered to work together. The morning started out withOUT coffee and donuts (we can blame the rain) yet everyone buckled down to work with Dave and Lobo standing by on IRC to answer any questions.

rayogram is hosting CiviCRM co-working  Monday, May 21st, 2012 from 10-5pm.

We hope this will be a great opportunity for new and experienced developers, consultants and organizations to work side-by-side and mentor one another. We will  include a case study presentation over lunch.

While we were working hard on a number of applications for free and open source market one of the application which was released by us was the CiviSync Mobile app for Android. You can download it from Google Play on your phone or here.

Hey All, Thanks for your patience and putting up with the delays in the release of CiviSync Outlook. CiviSync Outlook is the much awaited Outlook integration plugin for CiviCRM. It allows information sync between CiviCRM and Microsoft Outlook. CiviSync Outlook uses CiviCRM API. Due to some restrictions with API; at one stage we decided to use our own version of the API but it's not something we would like to run with in long term and hence dropped it fairly quickly.
