When I first started to use CiviCRM, because of all the functionalities and features. Often overlooked is the fact that there's no confirmation email option for users who completes a profile form.

A confirmation email in this case help reinforce the relationship between the organization and its users. As I understand this feature has been sought before and perhaps it is time to bring into CiviCore?

A new forum topic for this can be found below:

It seems like time to give people a quick update as to what api v3 is about. API v3 will be shipping with CiviCRM 3.4 and basically it's like v2 but more so. Well, it's like bits of v2 api and all the other bits have been changed to be like those bits... make sense?

The team is excited to announce the release of CiviCRM 3.3.5 - it is now available for download. You can also try it out on our demo site. Apart from fixing a few bug issues, this release contains two critical security updates:

Cross site scripting problem, where the site can be exploited to execute arbitrary JavaScript. Permissioning vulnerability, which allowed anonymous users to potentially change information for another contact.

Please consider doing an upgrade as soon as possible to avoid potential security risks. If you have already upgraded using the 3.3.4 release package - and you did not experience any errors during the upgrade - then you already have the security patches installed and you do not have to upgrade to this release at this time.

The 3.3.4 release has been pulled due to potential problems during upgrade. We will be posting a 3.3.5 release with the security fixes shortly. If you've downloaded 3.3.4 and haven't done the upgrade yet, you can trash that file and wait for 3.3.5 later today. If you've upgraded to 3.3.4 and did NOT get an error - then your upgrade is fine.

I just wanted to give you all some update on how we are getting on with the development of CiviSync. The application interface is ready. There will be three buttons on Outlook Toolbar to Sync Contacts, Sync Email and Settings. I hope they are self explanatory. We have also worked on a number of setting options to make it as extensive as possible and at the same time user friendly as well.

A few months back we introduced the newly revamped and automated Professional Services listings. The listings are divided into two categories - Active Contributors, and Additional Organizations. We've had a few queries on how organizations get assigned to these categories.

Here are some criteria that come into play when we decide where to place an organization. We tend to look at activity for the past six months and give that a lot more weight.
